Indian airline Air India has warned of potential disruptions to its flights on Airbus A350 aircraft due to engine damage on one of its long-haul planes, after it struck a foreign object on Thursday. Air India operates six A350 aircraft on profitable routes, including those between Delhi and London, New York, and Newark, which exposes the airline to disruptions if one of its planes is suddenly taken out of service. The company stated that the damage to the aircraft occurred during a flight through dense fog in Delhi, without providing further details about the foreign object or the routes that might be affected. It added: 'The aircraft is currently grounded'.
